Overview

Bordr ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") helps you keep track of travel days, stay limits, world clocks, currencies, and flights. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App uses, what stays on your device, and what information may be processed when you use optional features.

Data We Collect

We do not sell your data and we do not use advertising or analytics SDKs in the App. Most travel information you enter (trips, stay limits, clocks, currencies, widget order, passport country) is stored on your device. If you create an optional Bordr account, we store the email address you use to sign in, and we sync the travel data you choose to keep in your account so you can restore it after login.

How the App Works

The App may use the following capabilities:

• Location Services — to show which country you are in, local weather, and (if enabled) to log travel days. Precise location is processed on your device. A coarse current-country snapshot may be included in your account backup if you are signed in.
• Photo Library metadata — if you import trips from photos, Bordr reads location and date metadata to reconstruct travel history. We do not upload your photo files. Unreliable GPS or impossible dates are ignored.
• Manual entry and import — you can add trips yourself or import them from a Bordr PDF/JSON export.

Accounts and Cloud Sync

An account is optional. Without an account, Bordr works from local storage on your device. With an account, sign-in (email and one-time code or password) is handled by our backend provider so we can authenticate you. Synced data may include trips, world clocks, stay limits, currencies, flights you watch, widget order, and related settings. If you log out, data already on the device is not automatically erased. Deleting the App removes local data. Deleting your account or asking us to delete cloud data can be requested at bordr.app@gmail.com.

Third-Party Services

To run specific features, the App may send limited technical requests to:

• Our authentication and sync backend (account and backup of your Bordr data).
• AviationStack — flight number and date, to show live flight status.
• Open Exchange Rates (open.er-api.com) — to refresh currency rates.
• Open-Meteo — approximate coordinates, to show local weather.

Those providers process the request as needed to return a result. We do not use them for advertising.

Widgets

Home Screen widgets show information already available in the App. Widget data stays in an App Group on your device.

Children's Privacy

Bordr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the App with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
